      Watford vs Manchester United Predictions

After failing to win any of their first five matches of the competitive season, Watford started to pick up a few good results to distance themselves from the relegation zone.

They picked up three points from their first four Premier League games, and have now won four of their last eight league matches, drawing one and losing three.

Their losses have all come against in form sides, with Crystal Palace, Arsenal, and Leicester all defeating them. They have picked up wins against Newcastle, Swansea, Stoke, and West Ham.

This leaves them in a respectable 11th position in the Premier League table, with a win on Saturday giving them the chance to move into 9th and a loss giving Stoke, West Brom, and Swansea the opportunity to leapfrog them.

Injuries haven’t been an issue for Watford so far this season, and they still have just the two absentees: Joel Ekstrand and Jose Jurado.

Manchester United have descended into a bit of an injury crisis. Anthony Martial limped off in the England vs France match on Tuesday, so he joins Chris Smalling, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, James Wilson, Paddy McNair, Luke Shaw, and Antonio Valencia on the sidelines.

But with Wayne Rooney scoring on international duty the Manchester United fans will be hoping that he can make a return to club form.

Man United have won their last two matches, with victories against CSKA Moscow and West Brom ending their four match drawing streak.

They have now kept a clean sheet for five consecutive matches, and they currently have the best defence in the Premier League.

It may not be the most attractive football Manchester United have ever played, but they are getting results. They sit in 4th position and are only two points behind league leaders Manchester City.

With Watford heavily reliant on Odion Ighalo and seeming to struggle against top tier sides, I think that they will lose on Saturday. Odds of 10/11 for this outcome seem fair, so I’m backing that and a 2-0 win for the visitors at 15/2.
