Watford vs Millwall Predictions
- Watford have lost one of their last eight Championship matches (W5, D2)
- Millwall have the second-worst away record in the division
- Millwall last won at Vicarage Road back in 2006
Slavan’s Hornets on the rise
Watford were languishing in mid-table when Slavan Bilic took over as Head Coach back in October. The Hornets have picked up 23 points in their 13 games since Bilic’s appointment and have now moved up into the play-offs having lost one of their last eight Championship matches (W5, D2). Watford have kept four consecutive clean sheets in the league and may be able to keep that run going against a Millwall side who have struggled on their travels all season.
Not a happy hunting ground for the visitors
Gary Rowett’s Millwall side have struggled on their travels all season long and currently have the second-worst away record in the Championship having taken nine points from 11 away games this season. Adding to that miserly points tally on Boxing Day looks unlikely; Millwall last won at Vicarage Road back in 2006 and in their six visits since, all of which were in the league, have yielded just a solitary point.
Watford to win in the outright market will be the main selection for this one, with a 2-0 home victory forming the correct score prediction – Millwall have failed to score in three of their last four away matches.
