Watford searching for a win

The Hornets gave their playoff hopes a potential boost with a resounding 3-0 win over Birmingham City last time out. It was just their tenth win from 22 starts as pre-match favourites this term and they’ll be confident of earning three more points when they take on another Championship side that are fighting for survival. Chris Wilder tends to get the better of Wigan Athletic and he’ll be keen to continue that form here.

The visitors are staring down the barrel and with each passing week, relegation looks even more likely. They’re six points adrift of safety and they need to start picking up wins, something they have not managed to do in any of their last seven outings. Their inability to keep clean sheets has severely hampered them this term having conceded in 30 of their 37 Championship outings and it seems likely they’ll be heading back north with their tails between their legs.
