West Brom vs Newcastle Predictions
West Brom have really hit a slump over the past couple of months and find themselves sliding ever closer to the bottom three in the Premier League.
They have only won one of their last eight Premier League games and lost four of them, meaning they have dropped 18 points since the end of October.
This has seen West Brom slide down to 13th in the Premier League table, but their 20 point total is only three off the first of the relegation positions.
This position is occupied by Newcastle at the moment, who have picked up 17 points from their 18 league games. However, they have looked better recently.
Newcastle were very unlucky to concede a late goal against Everton on Monday, and few would argue that the north easterners deserved a point from the game.
That loss made it two wins, two defeats, and one draw in their last five Premier League matches, and they have managed to beat the likes of Liverpool and Spurs.
They have a great chance of getting something from this game though. The hosts come into the match with key players Salomon Rondon and James McClean suspended and they have only beaten Newcastle once in their last seven meetings.
Four of these seven games have resulted in victory for Newcastle, so history is certainly on the visitors’ side.
Norwich haven’t won any of their last five outings and look fairly devoid of attacking threat without Rondon up front. This will be excellent news for Newcastle’s shaky defence, and they might even have a chance of getting a clean sheet on Monday.
I think Newcastle will get a point or more from this game, and odds of 8/11 for a Newcastle Win or Draw Double Chance look excellent value. I’m also going for a 1-1 correct score prediction at 11/2.
