West Brom vs West Ham Betting Tips & Predictions

West Brom effectively ended Spurs’ Premier League title challenge on Monday when they put in a surprisingly good performance at White Hart Lane and came away with a deserved 1-1 draw. Despite this impressive result, they remain without a win in six matches in the Premier League, with four defeats and two draws giving them a measly return of two points from a possible 18.

This poor turn of form could be down to complacency, with them once again occupying a safe but uninspiring position in the Premier League table. They sit in 13th position with 41 points, level on points with three teams surrounding them.

West Ham have faced a downturn in form recently as well. They were genuine challengers for a top four position in the Premier League not so long ago, but now that challenge looks all but over. They remain in 6th position, but the gap between them and the top four has grown to eight points now. They do have a game in hand on Arsenal and Manchester City, but they would require a large stroke of luck to outperform the three teams above them to such an extent.

They did manage to get back to winning ways last week though, with a 3-1 win against Watford snapping them out of a six match winless streak in all competitions. This run consisted of five draws and one defeat, but that singular defeat did send them crashing out of the FA Cup in their quarter final replay against Manchester United.

West Ham’s collapse in form is largely thanks to an uncharacteristic spell of poor defending from Slaven Bilic’s team. They have managed to score in each of their last 13 matches in all competitions, but they haven’t kept a clean sheet in eight outings and have shipped 15 goals during this period.

West Brom have managed to find the net in eight of their last 12 games as well, so odds of 19/20 for Both Teams to Score look very attractive indeed. I’m going for a West Ham win though by backing a 2-1 correct score prediction at 8/1.
