West Ham United vs Burnley Predictions
- West Ham claimed a 3-1 win over Newcastle last time out,
- Burnley have four defeats in five away games.
- Over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in four of Burnley’s last six games.
Key relegation clash at London Stadium
West Ham sit in 18th place in the Premier League table and they have a chance to draw level on the team immediately above them on Saturday afternoon as Burnley make the trip to the capital.
The Hammers claimed their first win under Nuno Espirito Santo last time out with an impressive 3-1 victory over Newcastle.
Burnley arrive in decent form with six points from their last three games, having lost 2-0 at home to leaders Arsenal in the last batch of fixtures.
Home advantage could be key
West Ham should draw plenty of confidence from their win over the Magpies and they look good valur for a victory here against a side who have struggled away.
The Clarets lost their opening four road games in the Premier League before picking up a first win last time out, but that victory came at rock bottom Wolves and they needed a last gasp goal to get over the line as they nearly blew a two-goal lead.
This game is likely to be close and Burnley will probably focus on avoiding defeat rather than trying to go for the win, but West Ham have given themselves a platform to build on after beating the Magpies and they can grind out a victory this weekend.
Goals at both ends seems likely
Both defences are looking suspect as the Hammers have shipped 21 goals in 10 games and Burnley have conceded 19. The Clarets have scored in their last four away games, including in defeats at both Manchester clubs, so they should be able to at least get on the scoresheet and a 3-1 West Ham win looks a reasonable correct score pick as Burnley have shipped a hefty 15 goals across their five trips – conceding at least three goals in three of those games.
Jarrod Bowen has scored three of West Ham’s 10 Premier League goals and he can add to his haul against Burnley. Bowen had a decent game without scoring against Newcastle, managing four attempts in total, and he can sign off with a goal for his club before potentially linking up with England for the November fixtures.
