Wolves vs Brentford Predictions
There have been plenty of goals in games involving Wolves lately but it’s not always easy predicting at which end they are going to come. They put together back-to-back 3-0 wins against Fulham and Huddersfield to calm the nerves of the Wolverhampton public, which was starting to get a little impatient.
However there have also been bad days such as the 3-2 home defeat to QPR, 3-0 Capital One Cup loss at Middlesbrough and on Sunday a 4-2 defeat at Derby in the league. With a mixed bag of results they are probably where they belong right now in mid-table but will be hopeful of a return to winning ways at home to struggling Brentford.
The Londoners did win at the weekend for the first time under Lee Carsley, seeing off Rotherham 2-1 at Griffin Park. That will have come as a relief for the new manager and takes some of the pressure off this game.
They are usually a fairly positive side and have been involved in plenty of high-scoring games too with 7 of their 11 games so far having had 3 or more goals in it. Wolves will take the game to them but Brentford could enjoy some success on the counter and there looks to be good value in backing there to be over 2.5 goals in this game at 4/5.
You never quite know which Wolves side is going to show up but with Benik Afobe in form they are always a big threat and they could find a lot of joy against a Brentford defence that has conceded 20 times in 11 games so far, the 3rd worst defensive record in the league.
This should be an open contest with goals at both ends so consider taking a punt on a 4-2 home win for big potential rewards at 40/1.
