      Wolves vs Cardiff Predictions

Wolves have found some form after a bit of a slow start to the campaign. Their 3-2 home win against Fulham in midweek was their 4th straight victory in the Championship and it has moved them up to 10th place and level on points with this Saturday’s opponents Cardiff. Both clubs are still 7 points off the top six but with Brighton falling like a lead balloon, there is no reason why one of these sides can’t be there come May.

Encouragingly for Wolves they may have found a quick fix to the loss of main goal threat Benik Afobe to Bournemouth last week. 23 year old Pole Michal Żyro made his debut against Fulham and scored twice within the first 13 minutes to make himself an instant hit with the Molineux crowd.

Although these clubs are level on points, the momentum is all with Wolves right now as Cardiff have only won one of their last 6 and were beaten 2-0 at Hull last time out following on from a really poor home defeat to lower league Shrewsbury in the FA Cup.

Away from home they’ve not been great all season. They’ve only won 1 of their last 10 on the road and that came at bottom club Bolton. 5 of their last 6 away matches have ended in defeat so backing in-form Wolves to win this at 6/5 looks a good bet.

Wolves have conceded more goals than anyone else in the top 10 though this season and the 2 they conceded in midweek indicate they still have defensive frailties. Therefore we could see an away goal here but at 8/1 you can back Wolves to secure a 2-1 victory and a 5th consecutive Championship win.
