Arsenal to Win

Reason for tip

Arsenal may have their sights set on next week’s second leg of their Champions League semi-final with PSG on their minds after losing the first leg, but they can still make home advantage count against Bournemouth. The Gunners aren’t guaranteed a top five finish just yet and we may see a reaction from the North Londoners, while Bournemouth arrive in mixed form with just one win in their last 11 games. Arsenal have won 10 of their 17 home league games, losing just once, and they can pick up a morale-boosting win and three points in the late kick off on Saturday.

Arsenal 2-1

Reason for tip

An Arsenal win is expected but this game should be close. Bournemouth have only failed to score in one of their last 10 games so they can at least strike in defeat here as both teams have scored in four of the Gunners’ last five league fixtures. As such, a 2-1 home win has a chance.

Leandro Trossard To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Leandro Trossard has four goals in his last four league games and the Arsenal forward can add to his haul against Bournemouth.

Arsenal vs AFC Bournemouth Predictions

  • Arsenal have lost just one of their 17 home league games (W10, D6).
  • Bournemouth have won just one of their last 11 in normal time.
  • The Cherries have scored in nine of their last 10 games.

Bruised Arsenal face Bournemouth test

Arsenal entertain Bournemouth in the late Premier League kick off on Saturday but their attention may well be on next week’s Champions League trip to Paris.

The Gunners have a mountain to climb after Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat to PSG at the Emirates, so there are a few questions as to how they approach Saturday’s league fixture.

Boss Mikel Arteta will rotate but he should still name a strong side as the Gunners aren’t guaranteed a top five finish just yet and they have a couple of tough fixtures during the run in.

Bournemouth are still battling for European football themselves, but they have been in mixed form over the last few week and at an odds-against price a win for Arsenal looks a good starting point, despite their European exploits and commitments.

Gunners in need of a boost

After being largely outplayed by PSG, Arsenal could use a confidence boost against the Cherries and their home record suggests they can get a win over the line.

The Gunners have only lost once at home in the Premier League all season, winning 10 of their 17 games, and Bournemouth arrive in poor form with just one win in their last 11 games inside normal time.

The Cherries have been tough to beat on their travels but they are winless in their last four trips, drawing three of those games, but we may see a reaction from Arsenal after their first leg loss and that could be the boost they need for three Premier League points.

Goals at both ends likely

This could be a good fixture for both teams to score backers as there have been goals at both ends in four of Arsenal’s last five league games and in eight of Bournemouth’s last 10 overall.

The Cherries have only failed to score in one of their last 10 games so they can at least strike in defeat here, and a 2-1 home win looks a reasonable correct score prediction.

Leandro Trossard struggled to make an impact against PSG but he can get on the scoresheet against Bournemouth. The Belgian forward should keep his starting spot and has four goals in his last four league appearances.
