Manchester City to Win

Reason for tip

Manchester City have won eight of their last ten games after beating Real Madrid 2-1 in midweek and they should be able to extend that run against an injury-hit Crystal Palace side. The Eagles will be without key man Daniel Munoz and that could be critical to their chances.

Manchester City 2-1

Reason for tip

Nine of Manchester City’s last ten matches have gone over 2.5 goals and six of their last eight wins have seen both teams find the net. This should be a competitive affair in which the visitors are fancied to come out on top 2-1.

Jeremy Doku To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Jeremy Doku already has three goals this season and he was in fine form in Manchester City’s win over Real Madrid in midweek. Up against Crystal Palace’s Nathaniel Clyne the City winger should have plenty of success and is fancied to score.

  • Both teams have scored in four of the last five head-to-heads

Palace and City set for FA Cup final reunion

Just under seven months ago Crystal Palace secured the biggest win in their history as they beat Manchester City at Wembley to lift the FA Cup.

The pair are reunited in the Premier League on Sunday with both teams having faced very different midweek challenges.

The Citizens visited the Bernabeu to take on Real Madrid in the Champions League, coming out on top 2-1, while the Eagles made the shorter journey to Tallaght Stadium in Dublin for their Conference League match against Shelbourne.

Palace won that 3-0 but this is a huge step up in class and they may struggle to deal with it.

Oliver Glasner’s side are fourth in the league on the basis of their rock-solid defence. Only Arsenal have conceded fewer goals than the Eagles’ 12 but some key injuries make them worth taking on when they host Pep Guardiola’s side.

Injuries weaken hosts

All-action wing-back Daniel Munoz will miss this one as it has been deemed that his knee injury requires surgery, replacement Nathaniel Clyne is a significant downgrade.

Palace could also be without Ismaila Sarr and Jean-Philippe Mateta for this one and those three players are crucial to the hosts’ chances.

Manchester City are on a run of eight wins from their last ten games in all competitions and they have closed the gap on Arsenal at the top of the Premier League to just two points as a result.

The Citizens have been in fine goalscoring form as of late, netting 13 times in their last four matches. Meanwhile, moving Phil Foden deeper into midfield seems to be paying dividends, with the England international scoring five in his last three league outings.

They showed plenty of character to bounce back from a goal down against Real Madrid in midweek and can get the better of an understrength Palace outfit.

Doku could star

City have not lost at Selhurst Park since 2015, going 11 games unbeaten since then and winning eight of those.

Take the visitors to keep up the pressure on their title rivals by securing another three points.

Nine of City’s last ten games have gone over 2.5 goals and this looks set to be a repeat despite Palace’s solid defensive figures.

Both teams have scored in six of their last eight wins and a 2-1 victory for the away team is the correct score selection.

Jeremy Doku has three goals in all competitions this season and against Nathaniel Clyne, the winger could have a field day, take the Belgian to score.
