The Reds’ title defence may have collapsed following a disastrous autumn, but they head into this tie unbeaten in their last 11 games, and a tight battle for the top four makes every point crucial for Arne Slot’s men.

They have conceded nine times in these 11 games, though, and may be threatened at the back by a Burnley side that put five past Millwall last weekend.

Ekitike can make a difference

The Clarets sit 19th in the table and are already eight points adrift of safety, but they have conceded in eight of their last nine away games and found the net on their most recent visit to Anfield in February 2024.

They have lost seven of these trips, so backing Liverpool to win and both teams to score is an appealing option.
