This looks set to be an entertaining encounter and over 3.5 goals is the recommended bet.

Marseille have scored three or more goals in four of their nine Ligue 1 games this season, and there could be plenty of goals at Stade Velodrome when they host Angers on Wednesday.

They are third in Ligue 1, 12 places and nine points above Angers, with six wins from their nine games, while the visitors have two.

Marseille have had six victories in their last eight in Ligue 1 and have avoided defeat in their last seven meetings with Angers. However, Angers won their last outing, beating Lorient 2-0 on Sunday.

Four of the last six times that Marseille have hosted Angers in Ligue 1 have ended with over 3.5 goals.

Both teams have been struggling defensively of late, which should mean chances at both ends. Marseille have failed to keep a clean sheet in three of their last four Ligue 1 games and Angers have yet to keep a clean sheet away from home this season.

Marseille won 2-0 last time they met Angers in Ligue 1 and have won two of their last three league games by at least two goals, so a 3-1 home win is an attractive correct-score bet.
