Osasuna to Win

Reason for tip

Osasuna have won five of their last seven La Liga home games while Valencia have lost six of their last nine away league matches. Los Che lost at 10th-placed Villarreal and 12th-placed Las Palmas recently, so a trip to ninth-placed Osasuna could produce a similar result.

Osasuna 2-0

Reason for tip

Osasuna have won four of their last seven home games to nil while Valencia have failed to score in three of their last four road trips. A two-goal margin victory is preferred because Osasuna beat Cadiz 2-0 recently and Valencia have lost two of their last four away trips by the same score.

Ante Budimir To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

With 16 goals and three assists, Ante Budimir has been leading Osasuna’s attack well this season. The striker has scored six goals in his last seven La Liga appearances and registered in Osasuna’s last three home games.

Run with the Rojillos in Pamplona

Osasuna can use home advantage to close the gap to Valencia in the top half of La Liga when the two teams meet in Pamplona on Monday.

Los Rojillos have been incredibly consistent in mid-table under Jagoba Arrasate with finishes in 10th, 11th, 10th and seventh over the past four seasons. They head into the final stretch of this campaign with a real chance of emulating last season’s placing, which earned them a crack at the Europa Conference League play-offs.

Osasuna have also been strong at home of late with five of their somewhat modest total of six home wins coming in their last seven at Estadio El Sadar.

Los Che have been struggling on the road

All of those victories came against bottom-half clubs, but Valencia’s recent away record suggests they are not performing above the level of those teams on the road.

Ruben Baraja’s side have lost six of their last nine away from the Mestalla and failed to score in three of their last four. Their only positive away result since January came at second-bottom Granada and was secured by a fairly late goal.

Los Che look opposable in this clash with even a win to nil for the home side worth considering due to their solid defensive record at El Sadar. Real Madrid gave them a 4-2 spanking there last month, but they are a class apart from Valencia and this will be a much easier task.
