65/1 Ultimate Bet Builder for the Carabao Cup final

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

Sunday’s Carabao Cup final is arguably Arsenal’s first make-or-break test in their quadruple chase, while their opponents are licking their wounds following their Champions League exit.

There’s a nervous energy around the Gunners as they seek their first trophy in six years, but this City side is less experienced than the pre-game hype would have you believe.

We’ve got three selections for you in our free match predictions, and I’ve picked out five player props which combine to make a 65/1 Ultimate Bet Builder.

Carabao Cup Final Ultimate Bet Builder

Bukayo Saka 1+ shot on target

This hasn’t been Bukayo Saka’s standout season for Arsenal, but the winger finished Tuesday’s win over Bayer Leverkusen with four shots on target.

That continued a good run for the England international, who has recorded at least one shot on target in six of his last eight appearances.

The Super Sub offer comes into play here, as Saka’s likely replacement, Noni Madueke, has been impactful of the bench of late, and he had an effort on target against City in September’s league game.

Bukayo Saka to have 4+ foul involvements

Even when Saka isn’t at his best, he tends to be a target for the opposition. The winger has been fouled on 65 occasions for Arsenal across all competitions this term, which is by far the highest tally of any Arsenal player.

Saka has also made 38 fouls across the campaign, so he stands out in the foul involvements market. The winger finished last weekend’s win over Everton having made two fouls, while also being fouled twice. He both committed and drew three fouls in the first meeting between the sides, so back Saka to be involved in four fouls in this final.

Bernardo Silva to be carded

Bernardo Silva picked up a red card in Man City’s midweek loss to Real Madrid, and the Portuguese has 13 yellow cards to his name this season.

Silva also has a shady disciplinary record against Arsenal. He was booked in their last EFL Cup meeting, while he’s been cautioned on six occasions across his last 10 Premier League encounters with the Gunners.

Silva has been shown five cards across his last eight games for City, so back him to pick up another on Sunday.

Jurrien Timber to be carded

Timber has six bookings for Arsenal this term, including a caution in the last round of this competition. Four of his Premier League bookings have been shown away from the Emirates, with the other coming in the league clash between these two sides.

Timber has been booked in visits to Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this season, while he’s been booked in Arsenal’s previous two meetings with City.

Erling Haaland to commit 2+ fouls

Haaland’s habit of picking up a foul in big games has now been factored into his price, but he holds some appeal to make two or more at a shade above 2/1.

The striker has made three fouls in his previous three clashes with Arsenal, and it’s little secret that there’s some bad blood between him and the Gunners’ defence.

Gabriel and Saliba have drawn 58 fouls between them this term, and the choice of referee adds to the appeal. Peter Bankes took charge of Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Chelsea in the last round, and Liam Delap finished that clash with two fouls, while Joao Pedro made three.
