Monza vs Lecce – Lecce double chance at 7/10

After finishing 16th last season, Lecce have made a fantastic start to the 2023/24 campaign, opening proceedings with a shock win over Lazio and following that with four points against Fiorentina and Salernitana.

They have now lost just one of their last seven Serie A assignments and won in Monza in the penultimate round of last term. Their hosts have lost three of their four competitive games this season and four of their last five Serie A matches. Back the visitors to get something on Sunday.

Marseille vs Toulouse – Marseille to win & BTTS at 15/8

Marseille have won five of their last six home games in Ligue 1, but they’ve kept only one clean sheet across those victories. While they’ve won all three home games across all competitions this term, they’ve also conceded in five of their first six outings.

The hosts boast a fantastic record against Toulouse, winning each of the last eight head-to-head meetings, including 3-2 and 6-1 victories last term. The visitors have seen both teams score in five of their last six league games, while BTTS has landed in 10 of Marseille’s last 12 Ligue 1 outings, so back the hosts to edge a high-scoring clash.

Millwall vs Leeds – Leeds to win at 11/8

Leeds have made a slow start to the Championship following last season’s Premier League relegation, but victory at Millwall on Sunday could spark their campaign into life.

Leeds were forced to sell some of their most prized assets but they had a strong finish to the Transfer Window, which includes recruiting Swansea’s goal machine Joel Piroe, Tottenham duo Djed Spence and Joe Rodon, Glenn Kamara from Rangers and Bournemouth’s Jaidon Anthony.

That has provided Daniel Farke with much greater strength in depth and that should soon transform them into promotion contenders.

Leeds were 4-3 winners at highflying Ipswich on their last Championship away trip and they can follow up at Millwall, who have netted only four goals in their opening five games.

Lyon vs Le Havre – Over 2.5 goals at 4/6

Lyon are bottom of Ligue 1 after conceding ten goals in their four matches and they were 4-0 down at half-time in their last game, a 4-1 home defeat to Paris St-Germain.

Sunday’s visitors Le Havre do not have forwards of the calibre of PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, who scored twice against Lyon, but they have made an impressive start after winning Ligue 2 last season.

Le Havre scored only 46 goals in 38 second-division matches but have found the net eight times in four top-flight games, including 2-2 draws at Montpellier and Rennes and a 3-0 win over Lorient last time out.

Lyon’s last seven home league matches all produced over 2.5 goals and that trend should continue this weekend.

Lorient vs Monaco – Monaco to win at 5/6

Monaco went into the recent international break top of the tree in Ligue 1, having won three of their opening four contests, and they look a solid bet away to Lorient.

In their last game before the hiatus, Monaco laid down a marker with a 3-0 win over Lens and they have demonstrated plenty of attacking firepower this term, scoring 13 times in four league matches.

Their opponents Lorient, meanwhile, are locked in mid-table obscurity, having followed an impressive win over Lille with a crushing 3-0 defeat against newly promoted Le Havre last time out.

Darmstadt vs Borussia Monchengladbach – Borussia Monchengladbach to win at 11/8

A tough run of fixtures to start the season sees Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga’s relegation playoff place and has arguably inflated their price heading into Sunday’s trip to Darmstadt.

Die Fohlen’s away record has been woeful, winning just once in the league on the road since April 2022 and they are clearly still adapting after another busy summer.

The international break will have given Gerardo Seoane a chance to mould his side and the Swiss will expect his players to turn it on from the off against newly-promoted Darmstadt, who are yet to pick up a point.

They have also conceded an average of over three goals a game and, having scored four times in their previous away match at Augsburg, Gladbach should be able to grab their first win of the season.
