Ahead of the Curve: 15/1 Premier League opening weekend acca

Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

We’re already deep into our build-up for the 2025/26 Premier League season, producing a dedicated team guide for all 20 top-flight sides. With the fixture list released, we’ve taken a dive into the opening weekend games to find some early value.

We’ve called in some help from the Racing Post to put together a 15/1 fourfold for the new campaign.

West Ham to win at Sunderland

People are quite rightly on a downer over the Hammers but they’ve time to bring in some players and we all know how tough the step up is for promoted teams these days.

Ian Wilkerson

Brentford draw no bet at Nottingham Forest

It’s a bit of a leap of faith following Thomas Frank’s departure to Tottenham, but I’m confident the Bees’ backroom staff will not panic and it should be remembered they lost just one of their final 11 away league games of last season. Bryan Mbeumo may be on his way but they can get something at the City Ground, where Forest won just two of their final seven league matches last term.

Alex Wrigley

Under 2.5 goals in Leeds vs Everton

Leeds were the top scorers in the Championship last season, but they shouldn’t expect the same freedom in attack when they host Everton in their curtain raiser. The Toffees’ games averaged a league-low 1.95 goals per game last season and no team outside the top four conceded fewer goals than them. Ten of their final 12 went under 2.5 goals, and I expect their opener to go the same way.

Both teams to score in Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

Chelsea’s defeat against Flamengo displayed the Blues’ defensive issues, with blame for their 3-1 loss shared between their defenders and their continued issues in goal.

Palace made a slow start last year, but the early signs are that the Eagles will be more settled heading into the new campaign. Starting the season with Jean-Philippe Mateta available is a huge boost to their attacking threat, but defensively the Eagles are seeing some turnover with Marc Guehi linked with an exit. Both teams to score stands out at 3/4, a price which likely won’t be available come August.
