Premier League – Manchester City to win at 7/2
After a disastrous 2024/25 campaign, Manchester City have been overlooked in the outright market, but I expect them to make a roaring comeback.
The league’s worst injury record contributed to Pep Guardiola’s worst-ever season in management, but the Spaniard has never gone two seasons in management without winning the league title, and the Citizens have made moves to expand their squad.
Ten signings have been made since January, and Rodri’s return from his season-long injury last year will be a huge boost. They look good value to return to the top of the pile in 2025/26.
La Liga – Barcelona to win at 11/10
La Liga is, once again, expected to be a two-horse race between Real Madrid and Barcelona, and we’re backing the latter to cross the line first.
Los Blancos may need a period of adjustment to Xabi Alonso’s management, and a quick start by the Blaugrana may put the pressure on the Spaniard.
Barca had a full summer of rest while their arch-rivals played in the Club World Cup, and this extra preparation could make all the difference.
Ligue 1 – Monaco to win without PSG at 21/10
Marseille claimed second place last season in a fierce battle for the silver medal, which saw just five points separate second from fifth, but Monaco’s summer business could push them on this year.
The arrivals of Ansu Fati on loan, in addition to Eric Dier and Paul Pogba on a permanent basis, are big signings, and Marseille’s loss of Luis Henrique to Inter Milan weakens Monaco’s main rivals for the runner-up spot.
Bundesliga – Borussia Dortmund to win without Bayern Munich at 7/4
Borussia Dortmund struggled domestically last season, but their squad looks in good shape, despite the exit of Jamie Gittens.
Jobe Bellingham is a promising arrival for Dortmund, while Bayer Leverkusen could take a big step back after losing manager Xabi Alonso and star players Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Jonathan Tah.
Serie A – Inter Milan to win at 11/4
Napoli’s lack of European football allowed them to focus solely on landing the Scudetto last season, but their return to the Champions League gives Inter Milan a chance to hit back.
The Nerazzurri won the title in 2023/24 and looked on course for a treble last term, crumpling in the final month of the campaign to end the season trophyless.
Inter have made moves to strengthen this summer with over £60m of spending so far, and they look the best bet to end top of the pile in Italy.
