Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

Tottenham suffered one of their most humiliating nights in midweek, which came in their first return to the Wanda Metropolitano since the 2019 Champions League final. Next up, they meet the side which beat them that night, and Liverpool will be in no mood to do Spurs any favours.

We’re backing another difficult afternoon for Igor Tudor in our Liverpool vs Tottenham predictions, and I’ve added a few player props to make up this 45/1 Ultimate Bet Builder.

Liverpool vs Tottenham Ultimate Bet Builder Tip

Hugo Ekitike to score anytime

Ekitike had a hand in three goals in his last Anfield appearance, and the forward should relish meeting this Tottenham defence. The forward scored the winner when these two sides met in December, and the manner of Spurs’ 5-2 loss in Madrid suggests Ekitike will get plenty of chances on Sunday.

The forward has scored seven Premier League goals at Anfield despite making only 11 starts at home, and he is more than capable of another strong showing in front of goal.

Florian Wirtz to make an assist

Liverpool’s recent disjointed displays have been attributed to Wirtz’s recent injury issues, with the German midfielder really starting to become the fulcrum of Arne Slot’s midfield.

Wirtz recorded just his second Premier League assist of the campaign in the 4-1 win over Newcastle, having picked up his first against Tottenham late last year. However, the 22-year-old has recorded 4.13 Expected Assists, and his improving displays should see him create plenty of chances down the stretch.

Like Ekitike, Wirtz should get plenty of opportunities against Spurs this week.

Pape Matar Sarr to be carded

Tottenham have been shown a league-high 76 yellow cards this term, and they were dealt a fourth red of the season in their 3-1 loss to Crystal Palace in their last league outing. Five Spurs players were booked in the defeat in Madrid, and there should be another couple of cautions for the visitors here.

Sarr managed to avoid a Premier League booking through to mid-February, despite being shown 15 cautions in the prior two seasons. Sarr has been booked twice in his last four Premier League games, and he is backed for another card this weekend.

Pedro Porro to be carded

Porro has six Premier League bookings to his name, and the right-back has seen shown five of those on the road this term. The latest of which came in the 2-1 loss at Fulham at the start of the month, and he is set for a difficult test this weekend.

Milos Kerkez and Cody Gakpo will offer plenty of threat down Liverpool’s left, and the pair have drawn a combined 58 fouls in the league so far. Back them to draw another booking for Porro.
