78/1 Experts’ Europa League Accumulator Tip

Joe Champion

Ferencvaros vs Viktoria Plzen – Ferencvaros to win @ 7/5 with bet365

Ferencvaros can harness home advantage to make a winning start against Viktoria Plzen on Thursday.

The Hungarian champions, who are managed by Ireland legend Robbie Keane, acquitted themselves well in home matches in the Europa League last season, beating Nice, Malmo and AZ Alkmaar in the league phase with their sole loss coming against Tottenham.

These sides met in the knockout phase playoff round in February, when Ferencvaros won 1-0 in the home fixture before suffering a 3-0 reverse in the Czech Republic.

They’ve already beaten Ludogorets 3-0 in Budapest in Champions League qualifying this season, and demonstrated their attacking quality in a 5-4 aggregate loss to Qarabag which saw them drop down to the Europa League.

Rob Eddy

Nice vs Roma – Roma to win @ 6/5 with bet365

Roma can highlight why they are second outright favourites with a win at Nice. New Giallorossi boss Gian Piero Gasperini will have high hopes of repeating his Europa League glory with Atlanta, having made a decent start to life at the Stadio Olimpico with three wins in his opening four games, all with a clean sheet.

Nice were knocked out of Champions League qualifying with two 2-0 defeats to Benfica and have lost three of their opening five league games. That includes a 4-1 defeat at Brest on Saturday and home advantage might not be enough to stop recent derby winners Roma, who look mighty tempting at odds against.

Jamie Griffith

Go Ahead Eagles vs FCSB – Go Ahead Eagles to win @ 21/20

FCSB were European Cup winners in 1986 but they are no longer the force of old and look vulnerable for their Europa League opener at Go Ahead Eagles.

The Romanian giants have made a dreadful start to their domestic campaign, picking up just seven points in ten games, and failed to beat Aberdeen – a side who have since lost home matches against Falkirk and Motherwell – at Pittodrie during qualifying.

Go Ahead Eagles have lost just one of their last six matches and can mark their appearance in the Europa League proper with a win.

Tom McGarry

Salzburg vs Porto – Porto to win @ 11/10 with bet365

Porto are flying under new head coach Francesco Farioli, as they have won all six of their matches with the Italian in charge, scoring 15 goals and conceding just one.

Confidence should certainly be flowing for the Portuguese giants when they open their Europa League campaign away to a Salzburg side that are winless in three and head into this game following back-to-back domestic losses to Wolfsberger and Sturm Graz.

Salzburg also lost home and away to Club Brugge in Champions League qualifying, which saw them drop into this competition, and they may suffer more continental disappointment at Stadion Salzburg.

Jack Ogalbe

FC Utrecht vs Lyon – Lyon to win @ 21/20

Utrecht and Lyon were both involved in 1-0 fixtures this weekend, but while Les Gones triumphed on Friday, Domstedelingen’s defeat the following day was their second straight reverse by that scoreline.

Utrecht have progressed through three qualifying rounds of the Europa League to return to the group stage of a continental competition for the first time since 2010-11.

However, Lyon are regulars, having lost to Manchester United in the quarter-finals of this tournament last season.

After avoiding ruin in the summer, they have started 2025-26 with four wins from five Ligue 1 games.

Paulo Fonseca’s visitors are contenders to win this competition and can make a winning start.

Alex Wrigley

Malmo vs Ludogorets – Malmo to win @ 7/10 with bet365

Ludogorets are winless in four competitive away games and have already suffered three European defeats on the road this season.

They were beaten at Dinamo Minsk, Ferencvaros, and Skendija in qualifying and could only draw at Rijeka, while Malmo picked up three home wins in European qualification and held Danish giants Copenhagen to a draw.

The Swedes won 2-0 the last time they hosted Ludogorets in 2021, and they can open their campaign with three points on Wednesday.
