This German Cup tie on Tuesday could be an end-to-end encounter, with Eintracht Frankfurt’s first eight league games featuring a total of 39 goals.
Frankfurt have seen 18 goals across their first three Champions League matches, while they were 5-0 winners in the last round of the cup.
Borussia Dortmund needed an added time winner to see off Cologne on Saturday. However, they should have more joy against an Eintracht side who have conceded 23 goals across their last seven matches in all competitions.

Wednesday – Liverpool vs Crystal Palace
Liverpool’s shaky defensive displays should fill Crystal Palace with confidence ahead of Wednesday’s EFL Cup tie. The Eagles were the first side to trouble the Reds in August’s Community Shield clash, while their 2-1 win at Selhurst Park kicked off Liverpool’s run of five defeats in six.
Palace lead the league in terms of Expected Goals, but they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet across their last four games. The Reds followed up a 5-1 Champions League win with a 3-2 loss at Brentford, so it’s hard to see this tie being a quiet affair.

Thursday – Lugano vs Luzern
The Swiss Super League has featured 3.32 goals per game this season, with Lugano and Luzern each playing a key part in that high-scoring start.
Lugano have scored at least twice in three of their last four league games. Each of Luzern’s last six matches have featured at least three goals, while they’ve shared two 2-2 draws and a 3-3 thriller across their last three games.
The visitors’ first five away trips have featured 17 goals, while Lugano are growing in confidence after winning three of their last four at home.

Friday – Wrexham vs Coventry
Wrexham’s improved results have brought a string of low-scoring games, but Phil Parkinson’s side have only managed two clean sheets in 12 this season.
Coventry picked up their sixth straight win thanks to a 3-1 victory over Watford last weekend. The Sky Blues have scored 34 times already this season, 14 more than any other side.
Coventry have scored 18 times across their last six away games, while Wrexham have found the net in each of their home matches.

Saturday – West Brom vs Sheffield Wednesday
While things are looking up off the pitch for Sheffield Wednesday, they suffered a fourth straight league defeat last weekend. The Owls have conceded 10 goals across that stretch, while they are expected to struggle at the Hawthorns.
Wednesday have been putting up a fight on the road, as they’ve scored in all five of their away games. West Brom are without a clean sheet in four at home, but they should create plenty of openings against the Owls’ defence.

Sunday – Lille vs Angers
Lille ran out 6-1 winners at home to bottom side Metz on Sunday, while they host another struggling side in Angers this weekend.
Angers’ crucial win over Lorient last weekend saw them face 23 shots on goal. Ligue 1’s top scorers Lille should do a better job finishing those chances. The visitors have lost three of their first four trips, including a 5-0 drubbing at Strasbourg, so expect more goals for free-scoring Lille.
