Serie A 2025/26 outright predictions with 20/1, 11/4 & 9/4 selections

Only two of last season’s top eight, Napoli and Juventus, enter the new campaign with the same managers in charge. Antonio Conte’s side are favourites to retain their title, however, after coming so close to a treble but only to fall away in all competitions, Inter Milan cannot be discounted under new boss Cristian Chivu.
We’re taking a look at the upcoming Serie A campaign, with four outright tips including a 20/1 selection.
Serie A outright predictions
Inter to win Serie A
Last season, with Napoli not involved in European competition, Conte’s team was able to focus solely on the league. This campaign, however, sees them return to the Champions League and fighting on multiple fronts could come at a cost, as it did so dearly for Inter last season.
Inter won the Serie A title in 2024 and were on course for a treble with a month remaining last season, until their campaign crumpled. Their hopes were shattered by a 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. Earlier, Inter had been eliminated from the Coppa Italia semifinals by rivals AC Milan and ultimately allowed Napoli to reclaim the league title.
The collapse at the end of the season saw Simone Inzaghi depart the club, and Chivu named as his replacement. With money to spend after the Champions League run and participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, Inter have already made moves in the transfer market and are expected to further strengthen an ageing squad before the new season gets underway
Roma to finish in the top four
Roma had the best record in Serie A from New Year’s Day on, as last summer’s signings began to click. Claudio Ranieri helped bring the team together, before he recruited Gian Piero Gasperini to replace him.
Gasperini’s Atalanta recorded six top four finishes across his nine seasons in charge. With more resources in the Italian capital, he can get Roma back into the Champions League too.
The Giallorossi have been busy in the transfer market to add to a strong squad, so they can take advantage of issues elsewhere to jump into the top four.
Artem Dovbyk to be top goalscorer
One of Gasperini’s trademarks is his work with strikers, largely because his tactical style creates so many extra chances for attacking players. While Roma are aiming to bolster their forward line, Dovbyk has the tools to emerge as the starting striker ahead of some excellent creative players.
Dovbyk was La Liga top scorer in 2023/24 with Girona, scoring 24 times from an xG tally of 24.2. The forward scored 12 times in his debut campaign in Rome, but he recorded 11.9 xG. That level of consistent finishing suggests he should thrive under a more attacking manager.
Mateo Retegui was a surprise top scorer last term for Gasperini’s Atalanta, so Dovbyk holds plenty of appeal for what should be the most attacking side in the division.
Lecce to be relegated
Sassuolo’s return to the top flight should cost another side their top-flight status, as the Neroverdi are more than strong enough to pull clear of danger. That could trouble former Sassuolo boss Eusebio Di Francesco, who led the club through their glory years a decade ago.
Di Francesco hasn’t enjoyed a lot of success since. A troubled spell at Roma has led to a string of positions at struggling teams. Across five managerial jobs since the 2019/20 campaign, Di Francesco has departed every job with his side in the bottom three.
His Venezia side were relegated in 19th place last term, while he inherits a Lecce side that finished 17th alongside posting the second-lowest Expected Points tally.
