The Final To Final Long Haul: 100/1 Five-fold covering two European finals

Europe’s big leagues are all coming to a close but a huge week of football awaits regardless, headlined by Saturday night’s Champions League final as Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan face off at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

There is another European final on Wednesday as Real Betis and Chelsea contest the Conference League final in Wrocław, Poland.

Usually our Long Haul bets are themed – both teams to score, home wins, over 2.5 goals etc – but this week I’ve decided to take a different approach.

I’m bookending this bet with a tip from the two European finals, with three selections in between – and all five selections in this bet are priced at evens or above at the time of writing.

I’ve used bet365 to put together this bet and new customers can take advantage of their sign-up offer using the button below.

Wednesday

Real Betis vs Chelsea – Over 2.5 Goals at 1/1

Finals can occasionally be cagey affairs but I’m fairly optimistic that the Conference League showpiece could be an entertaining affair. Betis, who are the clear underdogs, tend to be involved in fairly open games and both teams have scored in each of their last 11 games – eight of which have produced at least three goals in total – and four of Chelsea’s six knockout stages games in this competition saw at least three goals scored.

Thursday

Vancouver Whitecaps vs Minnesota Timberwolves – Vancouver to win at 23/20

Our second leg of this bet takes place a few hours after the Conference League final finishes as there is a full round of MLS games overnight on Wednesday.

Two of the Western Conference’s high-flyers face off as leaders Vancouver Whitecaps entertain Minnesota United and home advantage could be key. The Whitecaps have won five of their seven home assignments in the league and they are on a 14-game unbeaten run across all competitions, while visitors United dropped points at home to Austin last time out and lost at Houston in their last road game.

Reims vs Metz – Metz to win at 23/10

On Thursday evening, the final place in Ligue 1 will be decided as Reims entertain Metz in the second leg of the relegation play-off.

Metz were unlucky not to win the first leg after taking a first half lead as they continued to boss possession and create chances, but they were pegged back by Reims who scored with their only shot of the second half. Reims come into the game after a tough weekend as they were beaten in the Coupe de France final by PSG, whereas Metz have had more time to focus on this game.

Metz lost their place in Ligue 1 in the relegation play-off last season and after spending a year in Ligue 2 they can win back their top flight spot via the same method on Thursday.

Saturday

Melbourne City vs Melbourne Victory – over 3.5 goals at 7/4

The A-League Grand Final takes place on Saturday morning with a Melbourne derby as City face Victory at AAMI Park.

City finished higher up the ladder and have played a game less in the finals series as Victory had to come through the elimination finals. However, Victory have just about had the better of the head-to-head meetings – although five of the last seven have finished level after normal time.

The better angle here could be to focus on goals rather than the result and over 3.5 has a chance. These sides played out a 2-2 draw last time they met and over 3.5 goals has landed in two of the previous three meetings this season. Both teams also boast strong attacks, and could well combine for at least four goals between them.

PSG vs Inter Milan – Ousmane Demebele to score at 8/5

Ousmane Dembele picked up a hamstring injury in the first leg of PSG’s semi-final win over Arsenal and struggled for a brief period after that setback, but he looked sharp without scoring in the Coupe de France final at the weekend as he played for 90 minutes.

Dembele has enjoyed a fantastic season with 21 goals in Ligue 1 and eight strikes in 14 Champions League games. The forward can round off his career-best campaign to date with an anytime effort in the European showpiece.
