Championship Predictions

There are no predictions available for this league/competition at the moment. We aim to update predictions two days before the day of the fixtures. Please check back soon.

Southampton to be promoted
Championship
Reason for tip

Momentum is so often vital in the play-offs and the Saints have it in spades. Relegated from the 2024-25 Premier League, they played well yet struggled for results under Will Still, but his replacement, Tonda Eckert, has transformed their fortunes, finishing fourth and reaching an FA Cup semi-final.

Stevenage to be promoted
League One
Reason for tip

Stevenage are the form team heading into the League One play-offs. They won five of their last six home games 1-0 and that stubbornness might be what’s needed to take them into the second tier for the first time ever.

Grimsby to be promoted
League Two
Reason for tip

A strong end to the League Two season allowed Grimsby to break into the top seven and their cup pedigree means they may be difficult to overcome in the play-offs. There’s something of destiny about the Mariners’ season, and a campaign ignited by beating Man United may end in big celebrations could conclude with promotion via a play-off final win.
