Liverpool vs Man City Bet Builder selections
Liverpool to win
Liverpool are unbeaten in all competitions this season, winning seven of their nine matches so far. Things haven’t been going as well for City, who have already lost three times this season. While pep Guardiola’s side won here last term, they took advantage of a weakened Liverpool side after failing to win in 17 visits to Anfield.
City haven’t won consecutive league games here since the 50s, while Liverpool look back to their best after some impressive scoring form. Jurgen Klopp has won more games (nine) against Guardiola than any other manager, so back them to take the points.
Mo Salah to score
Salah has scored eight times in his eight appearances this term and he’s played a key role in Liverpool’s great start. The Egyptian has also found the net in three of his last four clashes with City, so expect him to play a big role this weekend. Clashes between these two frequently see penalties dished out, so it’s worth backing Liverpool’s penalty taker to score anytime.
Gabriel Jesus to make an assist
City are a tough side to shut down and they’re packed with creativity. That includes Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, who has chipped in with three assists in the Premier League this term. The forward has been starting on the right for City this term and we can see him creating a goal from out wide, so Jesus is a great option in the anytime assist market.
James Milner to be carded
Milner has made more fouls per game than any player across both squads. The former City man has committed 3.5 fouls per game in the league this term, while he’s not going to be helped by dropping into defence this weekend.
Milner is set to fill-in at right-back, which is no easy task against this City side. He’s an incredibly hard-working player but he’s already been cautioned once this term and another yellow card could be on the horizon. Back Milner to end up in the book while trying to keep City quiet.
