Our tipsters have been in good form on the late night football in August, landing a tidy 6/1 Overnight Accumulator on Wednesday night exactly one week after landing another 11/1 Overnight Acca!

Here’s how the drama unfolded:

Our accumulator started with a game in the Brazilian Serie A. We needed Corinthians to score two goals against the out of form Goias. The hosts started off at a good tempo, with Junior Urso scoring their first in the 25th minute… but then the clock kept ticking with nothing more. With five minutes of regular time left, we were at the edge of our seats as Corinthians were awarded a penalty, but we needn’t have been worried as veteran Mauro Boselli converted with ease to land the first leg.

On our second leg, we’d backed Minnesota United to beat Portland Timbers at home in the US Open Cup. This was also not too straight forward. Minnesota gave up a 1-0 lead just before the stroke of half-time and were unable to break the deadlock until around twenty minutes into the second half. Youngster Mason Toye found the back of the net for a second time in three cup games to give the hosts the lead, and Minnesota didn’t give it up the second time around.

Meanwhile, in the Copa do Brasil, we were feeling similarly unconvinced. We needed Internacional to get a result away to the out-of-form Cruzeiro, but it was 0-0 deep into the second half, with the visitors not on top of the stats. Having backed them ‘Draw No Bet’, the treble would have landed as a double in the case that this 0-0 ran out… but fortunately for us, Edenilson scored his second in as many games to seal a 1-0 win and land our 6/1 overnight bet!!!
