Wednesday marks the beginning of a UEFA triple header as two struggling Premier League sides lock horns in Bilbao for the Europa League final.
This is followed by next week’s UEFA Conference League final in Wroclaw, before the headline event in Munich as PSG and Inter Milan compete for the UEFA Champions League.
With May’s three finals to look forward to, I’ve put together a treble picking out a winner in each competition.
17/2 UEFA Cup Final treble
UEFA Europa League final – Tottenham vs Manchester United
Manchester United to win the UEFA Europa League at 4/5
Neither of these teams inspires much confidence in terms of overall form, but Manchester United have a lot of winning experience in their ranks, and that might get them across the line against a Tottenham side that haven’t won a major trophy since 2008.
The Red Devils have navigated a tough route to the San Mames Barria, eliminating Real Sociedad, Athletic Bilbao, and Lyon on their way to the final, and they remain unbeaten after 14 Europa League games.
This, combined with the increased experience on the biggest stage, could edge it for Ruben Amorim.
UEFA Conference League final – Real Betis vs Chelsea
Real Betis to win the UEFA Conference League at 9/4
Chelsea have been big favourites for the UEFA Conference League since the competition began, but Real Betis could force them to fall at the final hurdle in Wroclaw.
Los Verdiblancos sit sixth in La Liga and have an excellent record against the La Liga top five this season, losing just three of their ten meetings and beating Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid in the process.
They have nothing to play for in their final league fixture this weekend, so they should turn out well-rested against a Chelsea side that face a crunch top-five clash with Nottingham Forest just three days before this final.
UEFA Champions League final – PSG vs Inter Milan
PSG to win the UEFA Champions League at 8/13
Inter Milan rode their luck against both Bayern Munich and Barcelona in the two previous rounds, but that luck could run out when they meet PSG in Munich.
The Italian side lost on expected goals in all four ties with those two teams, and, with the Serie A title on the line, Simone Inzaghi will be forced to field a full-strength side in their on Friday.
PSG, who have impressed massively in the Champions League this season, wrapped up the Ligue 1 honours weeks ago and should head to Munich in top shape.
