COMPLIANT Frank Lampard Chelsea manager

Saturday – Arsenal vs Chelsea

5:30pm – Sky Sports Main Event

Why we’re watching:

The drama unfolding at Arsenal is hard not to watch right now, as things begin to unravel for the FA Cup winners. Given that, rivals Chelsea will look to stick the boot in this weekend.

What we’re backing:

Arsenal have lost four of their last five matches in the Premier League and they’ve lost four of their last five league games at the Emirates. Chelsea thumped West Ham on Monday, rested while Arsenal lost again in midweek and come here looking impressive.

Betting tip: Chelsea @ 10/11

Sunday – Belenenses vs Sporting

8pm – FreeSports

Why we’re watching:

The Portuguese top flight doesn’t often hit the headlines, but catch Sporting while you can. Despite their impressive start you aren’t going to see them much, with the Portuguese giants out of Europe.

That’s helped them to show some great domestic form, so they’ll likely put on a show here.

What we’re backing:

Sporting have won six of their last seven matches in the league. The visitors have won four from five on the road and they meet a Belenenses side who haven’t scored in three of their last four.

Betting tip: Sporting win @ 9/20

COMPLIANT - Sergio Aguero in action for Man City in the Champions League

Monday – Everton vs Man City

8pm – Amazon Prime

Why we’re watching:

Everton spent Christmas three points ahead of Man City. The Toffees have to be taken seriously, with Carlo Ancelotti likely to pose problems for Pep Guardiola’s men. Everton have been entertaining this season and they will probe City’s defence for weaknesses.

What we’re backing:

City have failed to win any of their clashes with sides in the top six so far. Meanwhile, Everton have claimed wins over Leicester, Chelsea and Tottenham and they’ve held Liverpool. They should hold firm on Monday.

Betting tip: Everton Double Chance @ 5/4

Tuesday – Sevilla vs Villarreal

4pm – LaLigaTV

Why we’re watching:

Unai Emery returns to former club Sevilla, with his Villarreal side flying high. However, his side are yet to beat a team in the top half. Despite that they are serious European contenders, to this game is key in the European race.

What we’re backing:

With Sevilla winning five of their last seven league games, they should be good for a victory over their former boss.

Betting tip: Sevilla @ 11/10

COMPLIANT - Jason Tindall barks out orders during Bournemouth's friendly against West Ham

Wednesday – Brentford vs Bournemouth

5:30pm – Sky Sports Football

Why we’re watching:

This is a huge promotion clash, with Brentford pressing their case for a top two finish after last season’s disappointment. Meanwhile, Bournemouth have landed on their feet in the second tier, so this is a huge showdown.

What we’re backing:

Freshness is key at this time of year. Bournemouth’s Boxing Day game is off, while Brentford had an EFL Cup clash a week before this. The Cherries have an 11-day break ahead of this one, while Brentford have drawn three of their last five Championship games.

Betting tip: Bournemouth Double Chance @ 8/15

Thursday – Athletic vs Real Sociedad

1pm – LaLigaTV

Why we’re watching:

New Years’ Eve isn’t the busiest, but this Basque Derby more than makes up for that. Add into it that Athletic are on the up after a poor start, with Sociedad faltering, so this is a highly charged derby.

What we’re backing:

Real Sociedad have failed to win in six league games, losing each of their last three. While Athletic are inconsistent overall, they’ve won four from six at home.

Betting tip: Athletic win @ 9/5
