Arsenal return to European duties against Atletico Madrid with a spring in their step and they remain top of the Premier League with a three-point cushion over Manchester City.

The Gunners host the Spanish giants on Tuesday night, looking to make it three wins from three in the Champions League. Our Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid predictions back a routine win for the hosts, but I’ve looked into some alternative markets to produce a 61/1 Ultimate Bet Builder.

Arsenal have picked up the second-most yellow cards in the Champions League, while there are several playmakers that have led the way in front of goal and they feature heavily in our five selections here.

Back our 61/1 Arsenal vs Atletico Madrid Bet Builder here

Martin Zubimendi to commit a foul

Arsenal’s Martin Zubimendi has added some quality to the club’s engine room since his summer arrival and he has been a busy man at the heart of the Gunners’ midfield.

He has played in both of Arsenal’s Champions League games so far and conceded five fouls. Two of them were deemed yellow-card worthy and he will not be backing down against Diego Simeone’s side.

Bukayo Saka shot on target

Bukayo Saka’s return to fitness is a timely boost for Mikel Arteta after he recently lost Noni Madueke to injury. Saka has hit the ground running since returning to the fold and he has registered a shot on target in four consecutive appearances for the Gunners.

The England international has scored in two of his last three appearances and he will be a major outlet in the final third for the hosts.

Antoine Griezmann to have a shot on target

Antoine Griezmann may not be as quick as he was once at 34, but he is using his experience to find space in the final third. The Frenchman has registered nine shots on target in six appearances in all competitions, with four of them coming in the 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League last month.

He has only had six shots in total, proving just how accurate he has been in key areas.

Over 4.5 cards

Arteta has made his Arsenal team competitive and tenacious across the park in recent years and they are no strangers to getting in trouble with the officials. Only Barcelona, with eight, have picked up more yellow cards than Arsenal’s six this season in the Champions League.

Games involving Atletico are usually passionate affairs due to Simeone’s demands, so this game has the potential to provide fireworks.

Gabriel Martinelli to score first

Winger Gabriel Martinelli has had to settle for a bit-part role at Arsenal this year after the arrival of Eberechi Eze, Noni Madueke and the form of Leandro Trossard.

To his credit, the Argentine has still performed at a high level, and he has scored two goals and registered one assist in the Champions League in two appearances. Both of Martinelli’s goals have opened the deadlock in Europe so far and he looks good value to make it three from three in what is another huge opportunity for him to impress.
