Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

With the Premier League’s return just days away, the annual curtain raiser takes place at Wembley on Sunday. Crystal Palace have the chance for more Wembley success, as the FA Cup winners meet champions Liverpool.

We have the game covered with our free Crystal Palace vs Liverpool predictions, but I’ve dug a little deeper into the player markets to produce this 75/1 Bet Builder for Sunday’s encounter.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Ultimate Bet Builder

Cody Gakpo to score anytime

Gakpo was a largely unheralded part of Liverpool’s success last season, netting 18 times for the Reds. He made his mark in the final few matches of the campaign after they had secured the title, while the Dutchman has continued that run through preseason despite Liverpool’s spending in forward areas.

Gakpo has scored four times in preseason, including a brace against Athletic Bilbao earlier this week. Back his good form to continue against Palace.

Eberechi Eze to score or assist

Eze is another who has impressed in the warm-up games, while the England international had a stellar finish to last term. Eze scored at Wembley in both the semi-finals and final of the FA Cup, while he closed out the campaign by scoring in six of his final seven appearances.

While Eze continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal, Palace are expected to keep him in the side given their lack of alternatives. He hasn’t allowed the speculation to impact him, as he’s scored twice and made an assist in two impressive displays ahead of this clash. Back his good Wembley record to continue in Sunday’s game.

Dominik Szoboszlai to make 2+ fouls

The arrival of Florian Wirtz has seen Szoboszlai move into a deeper midfield role, playing alongside Ryan Gravenberch in a 4-2-3-1 system. That’s where he has started in his previous two games, including playing among the starters in Monday’s friendly with Athletic.

The Hungarian ranked fourth for Liverpool in terms of fouls made last term. He made four fouls playing deeper against Brighton in their penultimate game last term, so Szoboszlai appeals to make two or more fouls.

Daniel Munoz to be carded

Munoz has impressed from right-back for Palace, but he has picked up cards along the way. The Colombian was booked 11 times last term, while he faces an incredibly tricky test this weekend.

Liverpool’s pairing of Gakpo and Milos Kerkez on the left flank should cause problems for Munoz, so we’re completing our bet builder tip with the defender to pick up a card.
