Liverpool to Win and Under 3.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Pressure is mounting on Roy Hodgson after Crystal Palace’s midweek defeat against Bournemouth and they could be worth opposing against Liverpool, who can go top of the Premier League with a win.

7/5odds when tipped

Liverpool 2-0

Reason for tip

The goals have not been flying in for Crystal Palace recently and Liverpool have conceded only 14 times in 15 league games, so should keep things tight. A 2-0 win for the visitors looks a decent correct score pick.

Mohamed Salah To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Mo Salah failed to add to his tally of ten Premier League goals against Sheffield United but mustered four shots against the Blades and can find the net away to Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool Predictions

  • A Liverpool win & under 3.5 goals has clicked in four of the club’s last seven matches
  • Crystal Palace are without a win in their last four games
  • The Reds have kept five clean sheets in the Premier League this term
  • Mo Salah has struck ten goals in this season’s Premier League

Hodgson under pressure at Selhurst Park

Time could be running out for Roy Hodgson in his second spell at Crystal Palace and things do not get any easier when they welcome title-chasing Liverpool to Selhurst Park on Saturday.

There was a feeling of discontent among parts of the Palace fanbase on Wednesday as they slipped to a 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth at home, extending their Premier League winless run to four games.

The Eagles still have a comfortable enough buffer between them and the relegation zone but they will be looking over their shoulder following their latest setback.

It could be a case of ‘be careful what you wish for’ in terms of Palace fans calling for Hodgson’s axing but this weekend’s game is unlikely to help the 76-year-old’s cause.

Red-hot Reds could take some stopping

Visitors Liverpool are just two points behind league leaders Arsenal and could go top of the table, at least for a few hours, with a win at Selhurst Park.

They have posted ten wins from 15 matches and have shown signs of improvement on the road recently, having followed their disciplined 1-1 draw away to Manchester City with a 2-0 win away to Sheffield United on Wednesday.

The resolute win over the Blades will have been warmly welcomed by Reds fans following the frenetic 4-3 win over Fulham beforehand and they can record another low-scoring win.

Palace are light on personnel with Tyrick Mitchell the latest to join an injury room which already features Cheick Doucoure, Eberechi Eze, Rob Holding, Dean Henderson and Jesurun Rak-Sakyi.

Palace could be shut out again

The ongoing absence of Eze is a major blow for a team who have scored only two goals in their last three games and they could be kept at bay by Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Liverpool have conceded only 14 goals in 15 league games this season and they restricted the Blades to just one shot on target at Bramall Lane on Wednesday.

Four of the club’s last five Premier League victories have also featured under 3.5 goals – coming against Everton, Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Sheffield United – and they can repeat the feat against Crystal Palace.

A 2-0 win, meanwhile, looks the way to go in the correct score market.

Mo Salah did not score against Sheffield United in midweek but he still managed four shots, two of which were on target.

He can add to his tally of ten league goals when his side visit Croydon at lunchtime on Saturday.
