Before becoming a Sports Journalist for Free Super Tips, Aaron spent three years studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland while taking in the Black Cats' 'glory years' under Martin O'Neill. Now back in Northern Ireland he turns niche stats into predictions for FST, while he's one of the few people on this island who is equally comfortable at Windsor Park and the Aviva.

This is a more low-key Super Sunday, but it’s a potential milestone for Aston Villa, who can establish themselves as Arsenal’s biggest challengers with a victory over Everton.

We’ve backed a routine Villa win in our free match predictions, and I’ve picked out some more player props to put together a 63/1 Ultimate Bet Builder. This fourfold has been priced with Paddy Power, who are running a great new customer offer which you can claim below.

Aston Villa vs Everton Ultimate Bet Builder

Ollie Watkins to score anytime

Watkins looks back to his best for Aston Villa, scoring four goals across his last four Premier League appearances. The England international was given something of a break in their FA Cup tie last weekend, while the Villans have sanctioned the departure of Donyell Malen due to the Dutchman’s desire to play as a centre-forward.

Watkins is set to face more competition up top, with Tammy Abraham being linked with a return to English football. However, Watkins has little competition for minutes this weekend, and he can add to a tally of six goals across his last eight Premier League matches.

James Garner 1+ shot on target

Iliman Ndiaye has proven tough to replace for Everton, and the Senegalese midfielder still leads the side with 10 shots on target despite going the distance at AFCON.

One player who has stepped up in Ndiaye’s absence is James Garner, who now leads the team in total shots with 32. He’s been getting into better positions as of late, recording a shot on target in three of his last four games. His tally has been boosted by a return to a midfield role after spending large spells of the campaign at full-back, but that’s left some value in his price in this market.

Tim Iroegbunam to be carded

Aston Villa’s opponents have been shown a league-high 52 yellow cards across the course of this campaign, while the Villans were the first team to draw 300 fouls this term.

Bookings for Everton appeal, and the Toffees should add to their tally of 40 cautions this weekend. Iroegbunam is a good starting point, as he has seven Premier League bookings to his name. Villa are good at drawing fouls in the middle of the park, with Boubacar Kanmara, Youri Tielemans, and Morgan Rogers being fouled a combined 83 times.

Thierno Barry to be carded

Strikers Thierno Barry and Beto are both among Everton’s leaders in terms of fouls committed, with Barry leading the way with 25. The former Villarreal striker picked up his fourth booking for Everton across all competitions last time out, while he was cautioned four times in La Liga alone last season.

Barry is expected to start, with Beto likely to come in during the second half. Given the foul rate of Everton’s two forward options, take the starter to be cautioned, which could potentially land through the Super Sub offer, if not before.
