Club World Cup 2025 outright winner predictions
PSG to win the Club World Cup at 5/1
PSG’s maiden Champions League win this season may not have counted towards their Club World Cup qualification, but the confidence the treble winners can take from that historic triumph will certainly play a part.
Ever since they recovered a 2-0 deficit to beat Manchester City 4-2 in January, Les Parisiens have looked unstoppable, eliminating Liverpool and Arsenal from the competition before their show-stopping 5-0 thrashing of Inter Milan in the final last month.
In Desire Doue, Kvicha Kvaratshkelia, Joao Neves, Nuno Mendes, and Bradley Barcola they have one of the most exciting young teams on the planet, spearheaded by a resurgent Ousmane Dembele, who is thriving in his role as mentor and leader.
Dembele is likely to miss the group stage, but PSG have plenty of talent in reserve, and his presence will be most important come the latter stages of the competition.
Their coefficient points landed PSG a position in Pot 1, and they should have few issues getting out of their group of Atletico Madrid, Botafogo, and Seattle Sounders.
Given how they performed in the Champions League knockout stage, they look capable of beating any team in the world right now, and a win in their first-ever Club World Cup appearance would be the cherry on top of the cake for Luis Enrique’s side.
Kylian Mbappe to be top goalscorer at 9/2
Real Madrid may not be backed to win the Club World Cup, but they should still enjoy a deep run in the competition, and the group stages are often where the top goalscorer bags the bulk of their haul.
Kylian Mbappe won the European Golden Shoe in his first season in Madrid, and the Los Blancos star ended the season in phenomenal form.
A goal and an assist in each of his UEFA Nations League appearances earlier this month leave him with 12 goals in his last eight appearances for club and country, taking his tally to 45 goals for the season.
42 of those have been scored for Real Madrid, and he could fill his boots in one of the weakest groups in the tournament, with Xabi Alonso set to begin his career in the Spanish capital against Al-Hilal, Pachuca, and Red Bull Salzburg.
