2025/26 EFL Championship top goalscorer predictions

Mathias Kvistgaarden each-way at 40/1

The Championship top scorer market is dominated by Southampton strikers, with three of the first five in the betting playing for the Saints.

However, it is hard to know who of Adam Armstrong, Cameron Archer, and Ross Stewart will be the main man, especially with the arrival of American forward Damion Downs.

At a much bigger price, Norwich’s Mathias Kvistgaarden looks a big runner. The Denmark international scored 23 goals for Brondby last season and could be a big hit in the second tier.

Norwich scored the second-most goals behind Leeds last season, and despite the departure of Borja Sainz, Kvistgaarden should still get plenty of service.

Kyogo Furuhashi each-way at 16/1

Another new arrival who looks a tempting price to be the division’s top goalscorer is Kyogo Furuhashi at Birmingham.

Jay Stansfield is a much shorter price than his new teammate, but he only scored ten non-penalty goals in League One last season.

Kyogo, on the other hand, netted 85 goals in 165 games for Celtic and was Scottish Premiership top scorer in 2022-23 without taking spot kicks.

The Japanese international will be desperate to nail down a starting spot for the upcoming World Cup and is a real danger in the box. Expect him to be right up there in the goal charts.
