Aldershot vs Bromley – Bromley to win at 10/11

Aldershot’s dreadful season continued last weekend as they were ignominiously dumped out of the FA Cup at the hands of Isthmian League side Bowers & Pitsea and they could be in for yet another rough afternoon when they host an in-form Bromley.

The hosts have picked up just seven points in ten league games this season and all of those points have come against sides in 16th place or below. Not only that, but they have lost all four home league games this term and looking back into last season have now lost seven in a row at the Electrical Services Stadium.

Bromley enjoyed a much more productive FA Cup outing last weekend as their 2-1 win over Hungerford Town made it six wins on the spin in all competitions, a run which has propelled The Ravens up to fifth in the National League and into promotion contention. They can make it seven in a row on Saturday afternoon.

Birmingham vs Swansea –  Swansea to win at 21/10

Swansea head to Birmingham after two huge results and look an excellent price to make it three wins in a row on Saturday. The Swans beat derby rivals Cardiff 3-0 last weekend and backed that up with a 2-1 win over a strong West Brom outfit.

Both of those successes came at home, but they have the momentum here and Birmingham are in freefall. The Blues are winless in their last seven (L5, D2) and have failed to score in their last six so the odds on an away win looks too good to ignore.

Stevenage vs Leyton Orient – Leyton Orient draw no bet 4/6

Stevenage have suffered back-to-back 3-0 defeats at Oldham and Northampton and matters may go from bad to worse at home to Leyton Orient.

Boro were extremely underwhelming in the most recent defeat at Sixfields, where they managed just three shots in total, and they looked a team short on confidence following a run of only one win in 11 league games.

Orient are without a win in five but they have drawn four of those matches and that includes Tuesday’s 1-1 stalemate with league leaders Forest Green, when they won the shot count 13-6.

Hertha Berlin vs Borussia Monchengladbach – Borussia Monchengladbach to win at 1/1

While Hertha Berlin have shown a slight turnaround in fortunes of late, Gladbach have enjoyed a more significant upturn in form with wins over European hopefuls Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg recently.

Breel Embolo is an improving threat up front for Gladbach and can cause plenty of problems for the capital outfit, who have managed only one win on home soil in the league this season.

Hertha have lost five of their eight games in the German top flight and are worth opposing against the Foals, who have looked increasingly resistant at the back of late.

Morecambe vs Plymouth – Plymouth to win at 21/20

Plymouth are enjoying an excellent season in League One and there is no reason why they should not build on their fine form when they head to Morecambe.

Their only defeat so far came on the opening day at Rotherham and they backed up a decent 3-1 win at Oxford with a 3-0 home success over Bolton in midweek.

Morecambe, meanwhile, have the third tier’s leakiest rearguard, having conceded 24 goals in their 13 games this term.

The Shrimps have lost each of their last three matches and conceded ten goals in those outings, so they may lack a bit of confidence with the league leaders coming to town.
