PSV secured back-to-back Eredivisie titles on the final day of the 2024/25 campaign and are odds-on favourites to take home their 24th title in May, but can they do so after losing some key figures over the summer?

Eredivisie 2025/26 outright winner prediction
Ajax to win at 9/4
PSV blew the competition away en route to the 2023/24 Eredivisie title, but they were pushed all the way by Ajax last term, and a host of summer sales could swing the scales back in favour of the Amsterdam club.
The defending champions have lost Malik Tillman, Noa Lang, and Johan Bakayoko, who combined for 32 goals and 11 assists last season, and so far their only attacking additions have been Ruben van Bommel and Alassane Plea.
This leaves De Lampen with a huge void to fill going forward, paving the way for Ajax to clinch a record-extending 29th Eredivisie title.
De Godenzonen have lost Jordan Henderson and teenage left-back Jorrel Hato, but they have kept the bulk of their squad together while adding some eye-catching new players, such as attacking duo Oscar Gloukh and Raul Moro.
With ten points separating PSV and Ajax from the other member of the big three, Feyenoord, another two-horse race looks likely, and the runner I’m backing is Ajax.
Eredivisie 2025/26 top goalscorer prediction
Sem Steijn at 7/2
Sem Steijn ended last season as the Eredivisie’s leading goalscorer with 24 strikes, resulting in him being named the Eredivisie Player of the Year, and he could defend his title this year.
His fantastic season, which followed a 17-goal haul the season before, earned him a summer move from FC Twente to Feyenoord, and this move could increase his output further.
He will be supported by higher-quality creative players behind him, and he ended last season with nine goals in his final 13 games last season. Back Steijn to have another big season in the Netherlands.
