Despite the reduced schedule one bettor produced an incredible accumulator which landed thanks to new fewer than four late winners, including two in the 95th minute!
Late drama secures 18-leg winner
The bettor landed a £505,984.88 return from a £2 accumulator. The 18-fold winner was described by one Ladbrokes worker as, “without doubt the best bet I’ve ever seen”.
While all 18 results landed, it was far from plain sailing. The first late success came as Colchester hit a 95th-minute winner against Tranmere in a 1-0 victory, while they also saw Mansfield deliver late on with their own 95th-minute strike.
Those two late goals saw the bet through Saturday’s 3pm kick-offs, but the drama didn’t end there. Having seen Spain surrender a 1-0 lead to Albania in the 85th minute, the Spaniards scored in the 90th-minute to get back in front and keep this massive acca going.
The bet wrapped up with a 7pm kick-off on Saturday night, with Mauritania facing off against Mozambique. Their pick of a Mauritania win looked good for over 70 minutes after the hosts took a first-half lead. However, Mozambique delivered a potentially heart-breaking 90th-minute equaliser.
However, Mauritania went straight up the other end searching for a winner, sparking a goalmouth scramble. Below you can see the dramatic finish which landed this huge accumulator!
