AC Milan vs Atalanta Predictions

Amorim’s men appear to be back on track

AC Milan are probably catching Atalanta at the right time as they face La Dea just a few days on from their Conference League debut and with a few injuries in the camp. Sunday’s clash at the San Siro will see a Rossoneri side that have strong momentum aim to win their third Serie A home game on the bounce.

Ruben Amorim’s men thrashed Red Bull Salzburg 4-0 in the Europa League on Thursday to pick up their first European points of the campaign, but they remain unbeaten in the league after three wins and three draws.

A 1-1 draw at mid-table Sassuolo was a disappointing result last weekend, but not unfair based on the balance of play. But the win in Austria should rebuild confidence and it may have given Amorim a few selection dilemmas after the changes he made.

Atalanta have a growing injury list

Atalanta swept Pafos aside 3-1 at New Balance Arena on Thursday in their first European outing of the campaign. Giorgio Scalvini, Franck Kessie, and Raoul Bellanova all missed the visit of the Cypriots and the first two are unlikely to be available for the Milan match.

Giacomo Raspadori, who scored and assisted in the first half of Thursday’s win, is also a doubt while defenders Isak Hien and Odilon Kossounou are ruled out. Milan don’t have a clean bill of health either but they have enough quality and squad depth to cope.

Back the Rossoneri to win this clash and, although the win to nil is tempting given they have not conceded at home in Serie A yet, the match odds are good enough at around 4/5 for a three star bet.
