AC Milan vs Roma Predictions

The final weekend of the Serie A calendar has thrown up a treat, with Roma travelling to the San Siro to take on another of the league’s giants, AC Milan. There is plenty on the line too, with Roma hoping to overhaul Napoli and claim second place – which comes with an automatic qualification place into next year’s Champions League group stage – while Milan are still in the hunt for a Europa League spot.

However, Milan could be forgiven for having one eye on the upcoming Coppa Italia final, against Juventus, which could also offer the Rossoneri a route into Europe. It has been another difficult season of transition for Milan, who sacked Sinisa Mihajlovic but have not seen an improvement in either results or performances under his replacement, Cristian Brocchi.

Roma have been flying under their own new coach, the returning Luciano Spalletti, with the club’s fans anticipating a genuine title challenge next season. With 13 wins from their last 16 games, Roma have closed the gap on second-placed Napoli to just two points, but as Maurizio Sarri’s side host already-relegated Frosinone this weekend, it looks like third place for Roma, who were superb in a 3-0 crushing of Chievo last time out.

Free betting tips and predictions for this game could take a number of different angles, but we’re keeping it simple for this game. AC Milan look low on confidence and short of goals under Brocchi, while Roma are playing their best football of the season. The potential last Roma appearance of Francesco Totti is another subplot to keep an eye on, with the club legend yet to agree a contract extension.

Roma to Win at 6/5 with Betfair looks a great price, as Spalletti’s men are simply a better side than Milan right now. We’re also have a go on Roma to Win 2-1 at 8/1, which is also available with Betfair.
