      Over 2.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Over 2.5 goals has landed in two of Ghana’s three games this year, and they’ve been on the road for each of them. They meet a Wales side that scored and conceded in both March matches, and over 2.5 goals landed in five of their final eight games in 2025.

      Ghana 2-1

      Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in four of Wales’ last five matches, and they’ve got little to play for in this clash after losing in the World Cup playoffs in March. Ghana have the talent advantage as they build towards the World Cup, but they’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in five matches, so back a 2-1 victory for the Black Stars.

      Wales vs Ghana Predictions

Wales to fall short without Wilson

Ghana warm-up for their World Cup campaign with a friendly tie against Wales, who were bitterly disappointed to miss out on a spot in the 2026 competition.

The Dragons fell to Bosnia and Herzegovina in a playoff semi-final penalty shootout defeat, but it was a largely positive campaign for Craig Bellamy’s men.

Bellamy will be without star performer Harry Wilson, who withdrew from the squad and it’s difficult to think Wales will be at their peak, following a gruelling domestic season and no summer tournament to think about.

Ghana will meet England in their World Cup group and the Black Stars lost only one of their ten World Cup qualifying games.

Carlos Queiroz can call on good performers Kamaldeen Sulemana and Thomas Partey, the experienced Jordan Ayew will lead the line and there is star quality with Manchester City’s Antoine Semenyo the standout performer.

However, Ghana have lost all of their last five friendly matches, scoring just two goals, which indicates that the Black Stars can struggle when stepping out of Confederation of African Football and when motivation drops.

That said, Wales still look pretty short at even-money and playing over 2.5 goals is the best bet in this spot.

The absence of Harry Wilson is a big blow to Wales and the motivation could be lacking for the Dragons.

Ghana haven’t been on a good run, but this is the Black Stars’ final game before the World Cup and they should improve on recent efforts. Manchester City’s Antoine Semenyo is Ghana’s main attacking threat and he could open the scoring in a 2-1 win.
