Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Bournemouth are fresh from being involved in Monday’s eight-goal thriller with Manchester United and more goals should be on the cards when Burnley visit the Vitality given each of the Clarets’ last seven away fixtures have seen both teams score in contests featuring at least three goals.

      AFC Bournemouth 2-1

      Reason for tip

Both teams are out of form in terms of wins, but Bournemouth have drawn their last two and have only lost one league match on home soil this season. The Cherries also did the double over Burnley when the teams last met during 2023-24, including claiming a 2-1 success at the Vitality in October 2023.

Eli Junior Kroupi To Score Anytime

      Reason for tip

Eli Junior Kroupi is the highest scoring teenager in the Premier League this season, with the 19-year-old grabbing his fifth of the campaign in Monday’s 4-4 draw with Manchester United. The Frenchman also averages a goal every 85 minutes in the English top flight.

      AFC Bournemouth vs Burnley Predictions

      • Bournemouth have only lost one of their eight Premier League home games this season
      • The Cherries did the double over Burnley during the 2023-24 season
      • The Clarets will equal an unwanted club record of eight successive league defeats if they lose on Saturday

      Two teams struggling for form

Two out of form sides will meet at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday but while hosts Bournemouth will be buoyed by Monday’s entertaining 4-4 draw at Manchester United, Burnley’s low ebb remains very much in place.

Having emerged as potential Champions League contenders over the autumn, Bournemouth’s ongoing seven-match winless run has surprised many, but their draw at Old Trafford came off the back of a stalemate with Chelsea, results that suggest the Cherries are ready to turn a corner once again.

Even draws seem a distant dream for Burnley at the moment, with the Clarets having lost each of their last seven matches and another defeat this weekend would see them equal a club record for successive league losses.

A defeat would also deepen their relegation concerns and heap more pressure on head coach Scott Parker, who certainly won’t want to lose at one of his former clubs.

      Cherries can win open contest

Bournemouth have only lost one of their eight Premier League home matches this season and are the likelier of the two teams to snap their winless run, but the preferred bet is to back both teams to score in a contest featuring at least three goals.

That would have been a winning bet in nine of Bournemouth’s 16 league games this season, as well as in each of Burnley’s last seven away fixtures, with the Clarets having scored in all of their road trips since a 3-0 loss at Tottenham on the opening weekend.

The last time these two sides met at the Vitality it ended in a 2-1 victory for Bournemouth in October 2023 – Andoni Iraola’s side would go on to complete a league double over Burnley that season – and a similar result could be on the cards this weekend.

      Youthful Kroupi showing no fear

There are several contenders to get on the scoresheet on Saturday, with Bournemouth duo Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson having snapped their recent goal droughts against United, while Burnley’s Zian Flemming has scored in four consecutive away matches.

However, preference is for Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi to add to the five league goals he has scored already this season, the latest of which was the eighth and final strike of that draw with United.

At just 19, Kroupi is the highest scoring teenager in the Premier League this season, and given he is averaging a goal every 85 minutes in the top flight, he will fancy his chances of netting whether he starts or comes off the bench.
