AFC Bournemouth vs Coventry Predictions

• Bournemouth have won six of their last seven at home
• Coventry have the fourth-worst away record in the division
• The Cherries have scored 2+ goals in eight of nine at home this term

Home comforts for Cherries

Bournemouth surrendered top spot in the Championship thanks to two poor results on the road, going down 3-2 at Derby before drawing 1-1 at Millwall. Those setbacks have dented the Cherries’ promotion hopes slightly, but a return home should help them get back on track.

The hosts have one of the best home records in the division, winning six of nine home games this term. Scott Parker’s side have won six of their last seven starts at home, so the hosts look worth backing.

Test for Coventry on the road

The Sky Blues have performed well-above expectations this term, but their away record is letting them down. They have the worst away record of any team outside of the bottom three. It could get worse for Coventry, as they’ve only faced one of the top-six away so far (a 2-0 loss at QPR).

The visitors were beaten 5-0 at Luton earlier this term and they’ve conceded twice at QPR, Blackburn and Preston. Meanwhile, Bournemouth have scored at least twice in all but one of their home games. Given that return, over 1.5 home goals is my prediction alongside a 2-1 Cherries victory.
