AFC Bournemouth vs Leeds Predictions
- At least three goals have been scored in each of Bournemouth’s last three games
- Leeds have scored in eight of their last nine away games (all comps)
- Bournemouth are on a 14-game unbeaten run in normal time
In-form pair clash at Dean Court
Two of the Premier League’s form sides meet at Dean Court on Wednesday night as Europe chasing Bournemouth face a Leeds side who have safety in sight.
The Cherries are on a 13-game unbeaten run in the league and securing European football for next season looks a very real possibility for departing manager Andoi Iraola.
Leeds are unbeaten in four in the league and six across all competitions. They sit eight points clear of danger with just five games remaining as they bid to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.
Goals expected on the south coast
With home advantage, Bournemouth are the more likely winners but with both teams in good form and with targets to aim at the best angle for our main bet could be focusing on the goals markets rather than a result and over 2.5 goals looks a strong option.
The Cherries have seen at least three goals scored in each of their last three games and they’ve scored twice themselves in all of those fixtures.
Leeds are generally good for a goal on their travels as they have failed to score in just one of their last nine away games across all competitions. The Whites also arrive in good scoring form overall with seven goals scored across their last three games.
These sides played out a 2-2 draw in the reverse fixture and over 2.5 goals has landed in each of the last three meetings between these sides, that pattern should continue on Wednesday.
Hosts can claim the spoils
Bournemouth are comfortably the Premier League’s draw specialists with 15 stalemates in their 33 games, while Leeds are next in the list with 12.
However, Iraola’s side do appear to have found a way to turn those draws into wins after back-to-back successes over Arsenal and Newcastle, both away from home, and they look capable of making it three wins on the spin on Wednesday.
Leeds have been tough to break down but their away form remains a concern with just 13 points from 16 games. Bournemouth have the opportunity to make a bit of history this season by qualifying for Europe for the first time and they can boost their chances with three points against Leeds, after falling away in the battle for the European spots last term.
Eli Junior Kroupi stands out as a candidate for an anytime goal for the hosts after some strong performances in recent weeks. The 19-year-old Frenchman had a couple of chances without scoring at Newcastle but managed to strike against both Manchester United and Arsenal prior to the win at the weekend, he can add to his haul for the season against Leeds.
