AFC Bournemouth vs Preston Predictions
- Bournemouth have won each of their last five games and three of those wins have been by two or more goals.
- Preston are yet to win an away game in the Championship and have lost their last two trips.
- The Cherries have kept clean sheets in each of their last four games.
Preston unlikely to dent Cherries’ promotion push
Preston have proven to be a tough side to beat in the Championship this season but it is hard to see them getting any kind of result at pacesetters Bournemouth.
The Cherries appear to be marching towards automatic promotion as they are five points clear of closest rivals Fulham and nine ahead of West Brom in third spot.
North End managed a 2-0 win over Luton at the weekend after back-to-back defeats but they do appear to have hit a rough patch in form. The Lancashire outfit embarked on a nine-game unbeaten run after losing their first three league games of the season but have now lost three of their last six games, including their last two away fixtures.
Bournemouth are flying right now and have won each of their last five games, with their last four wins all accompanied by clean sheets. Scott Parker’s men have also won each of their last five home games and saw off Huddersfield 3-0 in their last outing at Dean Court.
Preston are yet to win away and have lost four of their seven trips so far. Only one of those defeats has been by more than one goal, at Blackpool in their last away day, but Bournemouth may be able to win with some room to spare on Wednesday.
Three of the Cherries’ last four wins have been by two or more goals and they can win with a -1 handicap when the Lilywhites visit, with a 3-0 win for the hosts the correct score selection for this match-up.
