Wimbledon’s home strength can expose fragile Mansfield

The best bet is an AFC Wimbledon win when they host Mansfield in League One on Saturday. The visitors are on a two-game losing run away from home and could be heading for more trouble here.

AFC Wimbledon are seven places above Mansfield in the table, but just four points separate the two sides. The hosts sit ninth with eight wins, two draws and seven losses, while Mansfield are 16th with six wins, four draws and seven defeats.

The Wimbly defence has been impressive at home this season, conceding just seven goals in eight League One games – an average of 0.88 goals per game.

AFC Wimbledon may be able to edge out Mansfield in a closely-fought game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Four of AFC Wimbledon’s last six League One games have ended with both sides scoring, and Mansfield have been on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline four times this season.
