The best bet is a Stockport win when they host Reading on Saturday. The visitors have struggled at the back this season and could be heading for another defeat here.

Stockport are eighth in the league, 12 places and seven points above Reading. They have won four, drawn three and lost two of their eight games this season, while the visitors have two wins, two draws and four defeats.

The visitors could do with turning things around, as Reading have yet to win any of their four League One away games this season.

Reading have struggled to keep things tight at the back this season, conceding on all four of their League One away days and failing to keep a clean sheet in ten of their last 12 games. They have shipped eight goals on the road so far.

Stockport have scored in 18 of their last 19 league games and have netted two goals or more in five of their nine League One matches this season. They went on to beat Wycombe 3-1 in May.

They may be able to edge out Reading in a close game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Four of Reading’s last six League One games have had three or more goals, but three of Stockport’s four victories this season have been by one goal.
