AFC Wimbledon vs Rotherham Predictions
- Wimbledon haven’t won in 11 matches
- Rotherham have conceded just five goals in their 14 away games this season
- Rotherham have won their last four league games without conceding
Wimbledon in big danger of a return to League Two
If Wimbledon don’t start winning games soon then they are in serious danger of dropping into League Two for the first time in six years. Wimbledon have failed to win any of their last eleven matches, a run which sees The Wombles now sit just one point above the drop zone. Having failed to win matches against sides that are in and around them in the table recently, they look to have their work cut out on Tuesday night, against a Rotherham team who are at the top of their game.
Rotherham rarely concede on the road
Rotherham have conceded just five goals in their 14 away league games this season. The Millers have kept nine clean sheets on the road this season and haven’t conceded more than once in any away league game this campaign. Rotherham have won their last four league games without conceding and despite being without captain Richard Wood, who was sent off on Saturday, another solid defensive display is expected from Rotherham on Tuesday.
The main selection for this game will be Rotherham in the Win to Nil market. I am hoping that The Millers will make it ten clean sheets on their travels with another shut out on Tuesday evening at Plough Lane. Wimbledon aren’t the most free scoring of sides and losing their main striker Ollie Palmer to Wrexham certainly hasn’t helped matters. In the correct score market, I will predict this to finish 2-0 to the visitors.
