Aldershot vs Forest Green Rovers Betting Tips

Aldershot started this season poorly after having a flirt with the relegation battle last season. They failed to win any of their first four league games, losing two of them.

But they have picked their game up since then, winning six of their next ten league games and losing the other four.

This takes their haul of points to 20 from their opening 14 games, putting them in 13^th position. A win against Forest Green on Wednesday could lift them as high as 7^th though.

Despite them being the Conference National leaders, there isn’t a better time to face Forest Green Rovers.

Their nine match winning streak at the beginning of the season seems like a distant memory now, and since it came to an end in their 2-1 defeat to Woking they haven’t won again.

This makes it five games without a victory for the leaders, with three of those ending in defeat for the out of sorts promotion hopefuls.

But there early season form is holding them in good stead so far as they go on the hunt for promotion to League Two.

They will desperately be trying to get back to form after suffering the heartbreak of playoff defeat last season.

But it won’t be easy to get out of this rut on Wednesday. Aldershot haven’t lost to Forest Green in any of their last three meetings.

Odds for Aldershot to get a point or more from this game look really good, with an Aldershot Win or Draw Double Chance standing at 7/10.

However, a bet of Both Teams to Score looks even better at 4/6. Forest Green have scored in all but one of their games this season whilst Aldershot have netted in 12 of their 14 matches. In their combined 28 league matches so far this season 17 of those have seen both sides hit the back of the net as well, so this bet looks like a banker in my opinion.
