Eastleigh have won six of their last seven league matches and the in form Spitfires can move into the play-off places with another victory at Altrincham this Tuesday evening.

Ben Strevens’ side have leapt into promotion contention thanks to some excellent performances since mid-April and their only blemish in that sequence was a 3-1 defeat away to second placed Torquay.

They had to work hard at the weekend to edge out Boreham Wood 1-0 at Ten Acres, but the result made it 18 points from a possible 21 and also brought up their fifth clean sheet in seven starts.

This midweek contest at J. Davidson Stadium represents Eastleigh’s game in hand, and a win will lift them up to sixth, allowing them to take control of their play-off destiny going into the final round of fixtures.

Eastleigh are a shade of odds-on to prevail and we think the Hampshire outfit are worth getting behind, with hosts Altrincham losing six of their last eight (W1, D1).
