Altrincham vs Halifax Betting Tips

After a patchy start to the new Conference National season, Altrincham seem to have settled themselves down and have begun to put a decent run of results together.

They lost their opening three games without scoring a goal before going on a run of three wins and two losses in a five game period. They then went on a four match winless run, but are now on a three match unbeaten streak and have won their last two games.

This leaves them with 17 points from their opening 14 matches, a tally that leaves them in 19^th position in the table.

But they look like they are on the way towards improving their position, and they have a great chance of doing that against a Halifax side who are badly struggling.

Halifax have only managed to win one game so far, a 3-1 win at home to Barrow back at the end of August.

Apart from that they have lost nine of their other 13 matches, a record which leaves them second from bottom in the Conference National with just seven points from 14 games.

Away from home things are even worse for Halifax. They have lost every one of their six away days so far, conceding 14 goals on the way as well.

It looks good for Altrincham then, who themselves have only lost twice on home turf this season, winning four of their matches.

Their chances are backed up when you examine the history between these sides. Altrincham haven’t lost against Halifax in any of their last four meetings and have taken the win on three of those occasions. They haven’t lost at home to Halifax since 2006.

I’m fully expecting an Altrincham win on Tuesday, and the odds that are on offer make it even more attractive at 21/20. I’m backing this along with a 2-0 win for them at 10/1.
