- Both teams have scored in four of Antwerp’s last five games.
- Fenerbahce have conceded in each of their last five away matches in all competitions but scored in four of them.
- Antwerp have kept just one clean sheet at home through their last six fixtures but managed to score in five of those games.
Home sweet home
Royal Antwerp will be hoping to make full use of their home advantage as they attempt to leapfrog Fenerbache in the standings.
Neither Antwerp nor Fenerbahce have claimed a win through three group games in this season’s UEFA Europa League with Eintracht Frankfurt and Olympiacos leading the way in Group D.
Antwerp secured a draw in Istanbul two weeks ago to pick up their first point of the campaign while Fenerbahce moved onto two points having also tied 1-1 in Germany, on the opening matchday, against Frankfurt.
The home side have lost just one of their last seven matches while hosting and ended their four-game winless run in all competitions with a 1-0 win on Sunday.
Fenerbahce’s slump continued as they lost 2-1 away from home and they have been beaten in three of their last four fixtures on the road.
Wins may be few and far between at the minute for both these teams, but goals certainly aren’t.
Antwerp have scored and conceded in eight of their last 11 games including in two of their group games so far in Europe.
Meanwhile, both teams have scored in each of Fenerbache’s last five matches and they have conceded six goals in the Europa League thus far.
Antwerp have the edge
Fenerbahce are winless in each of their last six Europa League away games, not including qualifiers and with Antwerp enjoying themselves at home they should have enough to shade this contest. 2-1 in favour of Antwerp looks the likely outcome.
